Living and working in Cumbria, I explore the environment around me and am often inspired by the stone circles and early ancient archaeological sites. I am interested in the layers of history under the surface and am inspired by pre-historic settlements, stone circles, and the carvings from Anglo-Saxon and Roman times.

My recent inspiration has derived from memories of my past and my latest work has been inspired by old shopping lists, recipe books, knitting and paper dress patterns in which screenprinted and engraved images are printed onto fabric, dressmaking paper including buttons and pins and shopping lists.

I undertake workshops and residencies for people of all ages in printmaking and papermaking. I work in schools and colleges as well as doing workshops in museums and galleries often connected to a current exhibition.
