Under the name of PAPERMAGIC I produce one-off and limited edition handmade books and paper creations, taking on the role of designer, author, illustrator, maker and binder. I use a wide range of papers as well as materials not traditionally associated with bookbinding. You can view my books as containers with an unfolding story. My books come in all shapes and sizes! Over the years I have experimented with a number of arts and crafts: photography, printing, embroidery, calligraphy, paper making ... all of which I now incorporate in my current work. Computer skills and modern technology now also play a part. My interest in dance, nature and travel are reflected in my books. I often base my stories on my relationships with and my observations of people. I produce books and paper structures for my own enjoyment, but also for exhibition.
