A Textile Artist who works on paper, or a Paper Artist who stitches? Studying City & Guilds Creative Embroidery brought me to the world of paper. Wanting to know more about its properties and uses I attained a City & Guilds in Papercraft, followed by an NCFE Advanced Certificate in Papercraft. As well as using paper in my abstract stitched pieces, I also make handmade books - the infinite variety in the construction process being of greater interest than the content. I enjoy paper because it has similarities to fabric and yet can also offer many different challenges. Web sites: |
